We Think Helping Others Hit By Disasters Is Important
We at Save Your Stuff LLC feel that our efforts to help people and businesses preserve

Save Your Stuff LLC has chosen to gather donations through the Santa Barbara Foundation (so we can be more accountable for the funds we gather) and then we funnel 100% of the funds to Humanitarian Services because:
- 100 percent of all donations are distributed directly to those in need.
- It serves the world wide human family irrespective of race or religion or politics.
- There is actual on-the-ground personal contact and assistance to administrate funds and relief efforts.
- The benefit of your donation is compounded by massive volunteer efforts both on location and at Humanitarian Services… this is HUGE!
- They coordinate efforts with other agencies such as Red Cross, Catholic Charities and Islamic Relief for efficiency and efficacy.
- They respond to all emergency human needs (plus more) with food, clothing, medical supplies, and other relief assistance/services (like inoculations and wheelchairs).
- After immediate relief and assistance is provided, Humanitarian Services helps families become self-reliant by promoting health and disease prevention where health care resources and education are lacking, by helping with employment and job training, and by responding to the urgent needs brought on by natural disasters.

LDS Charities working through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is known world wide for its humanitarian efforts to people of all faiths and nationalities. In an address given at the National Press Club, past LDS President Gordon B. Hinckley said: “We…are trying to reach out to those who find themselves in terrible trouble because of war, earthquake, flood, drought, and other disasters. Human suffering anywhere and among any people is a matter of urgent concern for us.” When a disaster occurs, Humanitarian Services, (often in conjunction with other agencies like the Red Cross, Catholic Charities and Islamic Relief) sends food, clothing, medical supplies, and other emergency relief services to help victims with urgent needs. Advance planning on a massive worldwide scale, extensive storage of essential items regionally throughout the world, and an extensive worldwide network of millions of volunteers, allow a swift response when disaster strikes. These multi faith, multi relief-agency volunteers, working cooperatively ensure that 100 percent of all donations are distributed directly to those in need.
Why Is This Important To Us?
Every year, millions of men, women, and children are impacted by wars, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, and other disasters. In these desperate times, life-sustaining resources are often the difference between life and death.
What It Does and How It Helps
Through generous donations of money and emergency supplies from caring individuals, as well as from corporations and foundations, Humanitarian Services is able to respond in a timely way to urgent and ongoing requests for help from countries around the world. Corporate and individual donations of clothes, medical supplies and equipment, schoolbooks (K-6) and other educational supplies, and emergency relief items are gathered in advance and prepared for shipping on short notice. Cash donations help purchase items that are in short supply. Extensive storage and inventory capabilities allow for handling and distributing of many thousands of tons of disaster relief supplies each year. Note: To allow for maximum flexibility in responding to emergencies, donations to Humanitarian Services are generally not earmarked for specific projects but are distributed where the need is greatest.
Other activities in addition to emergency-disaster relief:

Humanitarian Services helps families become self-reliant by promoting health and disease prevention where health care resources and education are lacking, by helping with employment and job training, and by responding to urgent needs brought on by natural disasters.
